ಕಂಡ ದೈವಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲ ಕೈಯ ಮುಗಿದೇನಹುದು ? |
ಚಂಡಚತುರೋಪಾಯದಿಂದಲೇನಹುದು ? ||
ತಂಡುಲದ ಹಿಡಿಯೊಂದು ತುಂಡುಬಟ್ಟೆಯದೊಂದು |
ಅಂಡಲೆತವಿದಕೇನೋ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ||

ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮನ ಕಗ್ಗ ಪದ್ಯ- 20 ರಅರ್ಥ

ನಮ್ಮ ಮನದಾಸೆಯಾಗಳನ್ನು ಈಡೇರಿಸಲು ನಾವು ಅನೇಕ ಕಂಡ ಕಂಡ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕುತ್ತೇವೆ.
ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಸಾಕಾಗದೇ , ಕಠೋರವಾದ 4 ಉಪಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ಆ 4 ಉಪಾಯಗಳೆಂದರೆ- ಸಾಮ, ದಾನ,ಭೇದ, ದಂಡ.

ನಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವುದೆಷ್ಟು? - ಒಂದು ಹಿಡಿ ಅಕ್ಕಿ, ದೇಹ ಮುಚ್ಚಲು ಒಂದು ತುಂಡು ಬಟ್ಟೆ.
ಈ ನಮ್ಮ ಪರದಾಟ ಕೇವಲ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಗಾಗಿ, ಗೇಣು ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಾಗಿ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಮನಸಿಗ್ಗೆ ಅಲ್ಪ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ.

We offer prayers to many gods, we see and bow to them to fulfil our desires.

We don’t just stop there.We are following 4 tough approaches to fulfil the desires.

Those approaches/ideas  are – Saama (Allinace), Daana (Gift/Charity), Bheda (Differentiation/Trick ), Danda (Penalty/Force).

How much do we need? - A handful of rice, a piece of cloth to cover the body.

Only when we realize that our paradigm is for the stomach and the gaggle of clothes, the heart gets little comfort.
