She is born in Bangalore, Karnataka. Her date of birth is 8-April-1988.

Though she is born to Malayalam parents, she can not read and write Malayalam.

She did her schooling in Bangalore’s Poornaprajna School. Later she studied in Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.

She is graduated in Journalism from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, Karnataka.

Nithya Started her acting career at very early age. She appeared as a child artist in English movie “The Monkey Who Knew Too Much”, released in 1998.

She was also a child actress in a TV serial ‘Choti Maa..Ek Anokha Bandhan’.

When Nithya enrolled for a Cinematography course in Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, Nandini Reddy, pushed to take up acting in movies instead of Cinematography.

Nithya Menen’s  first movie is a Kannada movie- “7 O’clock”. She acted in a supporting role in that movie.

And then there was no looking back.

She got chance to work with her favourite actor Mohanlal. She acted opposite to Mohanlal as lead actress in ‘Aakasha Gopuram’.

What an amazing feeling for Nithya at that time !!
