Mysuru Single Screen Theaters closed due to covid cases causing the state government to impose night curfew and weekend curfews. The steps taken by the government has made many movie makers to postpone the major movie releases. The shortage in Kannada movie releases and combined with 2 days of the week with no business had caused the movie theater owners such as Gayatri, Sangam, Sterling to shut down the theaters.

With the government now announcing the removal of Weekend Curfew the movie releases might resume and the movie theaters might open the following week.
